omg.... amazing! would this work on kitchen cabinets?? we've rented for 10 years and kids scratched up the cupboards up quite a bit! Do you need to match the product ... and if so, how exactly must it match? Also is that steel wool you are using to apply the product... from other vids... like a 000 steel wool or?

Love the video and followed all of the instructions. Some additional advice to newbies: Don't use a chip brush unless you want to be constantly stopping to pick out hairs. Invest the few extra dollars to get a good brush. Most importantly, learn how to properly apply the finish. It is not as easy as it looks! I got to the very end and thought I could just use a regular paint brush to paint on oil based finish. I ended up with streaks and puddles and ended up having to entirely redo glossing one end of the table. To those who might read this, there's a reason for having tables done professionally. The time, cost, and aggravation of mistakes isn't worth it. I would either buy a table or have it done professionally if I could do it all over again.

Hi ! Thanks for this video ! When you did the blue you used 2 cups, one half plastic glass of the primer and same for the varnish… is that correct ?

I doubt you will see this but maybe someone would be able to help!! I have a wood piece of furniture that is stained. No poly coat. Just stained. Its stained a lighter color… leans a little yellow. Do you think i could achieve a pottery barn look without painting and using a mix of stains?

Do you have to apply a top coat? If so, can it be a water base?

Tip: For your sample jars of paint (because they get stuck!), use a piece of plastic wrap over the top, then screw on the lid! Waala! No more stuck lids!

Thank you for your videos!! I painted a pedestal dining table with left over white cabinet paint. I think it looks harsh and I'd like to soften it up to go with restoration hardware gray oak chairs. The chairs have a flax linen upholstery seat and back. Can you recommend one of your videos and glaze color to help me soften it up without starting over? Thanks again!

I do a 200 grit wet sand between top coats of Advanced and I have no brush marks. ❤

Tan coloured pine is equally unfashionable this side of the Pond, don't you know! People have been painting their units and leaving the tops natural. There's been a lot of wood bleaching going on too. That art deco walnut stuff still hasn't made much of a comeback, so people are re-working such pieces. You're very good, btw.😊

To me the top dry coat looks like a bit of raised grain, goving depth to the wood look.

That looks stunning! I just bought a French provincial chest of drawers and I’m going to pick up the bigger dresser in Monday. I’m going to strip and white wash the tops and paint the rest. Looking forward to doing it your way because it looks so easy.
